Arrows and stars in text?
In Shing Jea English District today, I saw someone displaying text containing arrows - in HA I have seen stars and squares. Anyone know how it is done? I asked the player in question and the only response I got was "It's a secret."
Below is an example of what I mean: It's really getting on my nerves. |

It's a secret.
Basically the fewer people that know how to do this the better. It's incredibly annoying. |

It's not really a secret, but it's still annoying. Expanding on Synxernal:
1. Open the Character Map application. Or alternately if you have an ascii chart for a font set you can open a text editor that accepts alt-number input and write your string in there. 2. Copy and Paste: Ctrl-C from the Character Map or text editor and Ctrl-V into your Guild Wars chat window. It's as simple as that. When you look at the Character Map for a font set you will see odd non-roman characters. These are what the people are putting in the chat window. Not all font sets work in Guild Wars, mostly just the base fonts. Please use them sparingly (or not at all) as it was pointed out it can be pretty annoying. You can get a decent effect just by using ==== ***** and the standard shift characters and it's much less irritating to someone trying to watch the trade screen zoom by. |

Right - Thanks a lot for your replies. You won't find me using them to advertise though
